During a defensive struggle on Sunday, the Denver Broncos clinched a 13-11 win over the struggling New York Jets. Quarterback Bo Nix threw an early scoring strike and kicker Wil Lutz provided the late decisive three-pointer to seal the ugly win.

Defensive Display Wins Contest

Even with registering nine sacks versus Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 following conceding a two-point play in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets could only produce just 82 total net yards throughout the contest.

Nix, who went 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, led a decisive 12-play, 65-yard possession that ended with Lutz's 27-yard field goal with approximately five minutes left.

Historic Difficulties for Jets Attack

Despite their horrendous offensive display, the Jets maintained the ball with a opportunity to drive for a possible winning score. But Fields was sacked on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 when head coach Aaron Glenn chose to go for it instead of calling on kicker Nick Folk for a long field-goal attempt.

Fields had difficulties all game, completing just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. New York ended up with minus-10 passing yards, the lowest in any contest since 1998.

"The aerial attack was completely absent," the coach stated following the game.
